Position Purpose

The Position is overall responsible to plan, execute and perform mechanical maintenance activities with minimum breakdown and perform uninterrupted economic utilities operations safely while meeting all statutory and organizational requirements within budgeted costs and time. Helping Sr. Manager – Maintenance to prepare budgets of respective areas. Perform equal to business and organizational requirements

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Assisting Sr. Manager in techno commercial inputs pertaining to plant and machineries
  • Preventive & Break-down maintenance of different plant equipment
  • Assisting Sr. Manager in manpower utilization related to plant maintenance

Operational Responsibilities

  • System management related to plant maintenance:
    • Monitoring of documentation related to various ISO System
    • Monitoring daily data entry in SAP in Plant Maintenance Module.
    • Keeping and timely analysis of preventive maintenance & breakdown maintenance data.
  • Meeting Statutory and organizational requirements:
    • Legal requirements related to fired /pressure vessels and other installations
    • Customer requirements and guidelines
  • Engineering Vendor development and liaison
  • Updating equipment specifications in SAP related to concern plant.
  • Perform NPA formalities related to concern plant equipment.
  • Implement MWO/CAPEX in concern plant area within decided time frame.
  • Implement energy saving programme in the organization.
  • Perform analysis of data and implement action plan evaluated from cause analysis.
  • Ensure safe practices in the function and people.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Assistance in Preparation of CAPEX and plant maintenance budgets
  • Implement the cost saving measures in the maintenance function

People Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth working of the department and maintain high Morale of the Workforce
  • Provide on Job guidance to sub-ordinates to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Monitor and review performance of sub-ordinates

Education Qualification

B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Work Experience

3 –7 years

Industry to be Hired from

Chemical processed based industry like Agrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals. Fine / specialty chemicals or can be from other chemical continuous process industry also.

  • Ability to carry out corrective action after analysing frequent breakdowns in plant equipment

    Role & Responsibilities

    We are looking for a Rotating Equipment Engineer with significant shown experience to join the successful Machinery Engineering team based in the India office. You will play a relevant role in the project execution to deliver the assigned project scope.

    Types of equipment that you will work with are broad-ranging and depend on the project scope; examples include centrifugal, reciprocating, and screw compression, process pumps, cryogenic pumps, fans, gas turbines, steam turbines, and associated auxiliary equipment.

    As a Engineer-Machinery , you will:

    • Own the execution for technical elements of critical rotating equipment on assigned projects during BED and DED phases with responsibility for delivering committed work on schedule and on-budget
    • Represent the Machinery Engineering function in multi-functional project meetings including P&ID review, HAZOP, layout review, and model review
    • Prepare technical specification packages for inquiry/purchase for critical rotating equipment and undertake technical evaluation, development, and technical risk assessment (including the development of associated risk mitigation plans) of supplier proposals
    • Lead kick-off and design review meetings with suppliers of purchased critical rotating equipment
    • Collaborate closely with the other engineering functions and coordinate multi-functional review of supplier drawings to facilitate the integration of purchased equipment into the overall plant design aligned with Air Products engineering standards, supplier requirements, and the project scope requirements
    • Witness inspections and testing of purchased critical rotating equipment
    • Provide technical support throughout the project construction and commissioning phases retaining overall technical responsibility for equipment until successful handover to the customer. Perform site inspections to ensure installation following Air Products and supplier requirements
    • Provide feedback to continuously improve the competitiveness of internal global engineering standards and work processes

    The role will require international travel to suppliers and project sites. Approximately 20% of your time may be spent traveling with extended durations at project job sites to support the construction, commissioning, and start-up of rotating equipment.

    Background & Experience

    As a Engineer-Machinery , you will have:

    • Minimum of degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering with more than 10 years of experience.

    • Demonstrable experience in planning and owning the execution of critical rotating equipment with schedule and budget responsibility

    1. Prepare Daily generation reports and maintenance reports in hard and soft tools for the windfarm.
    2. Coordinate with CECORE control centre to create outages for all planned /unplanned activities
    3. Document the work done indicating consumption of spares/ consumables, list further actions along with targeted completion dates.
    4. Ensure that the work log entry is made by the co-worker’s also checking open work orders and taking necessary action to closed without delay
    5. inform Site manager of any abnormalities noticed that cannot be fixed immediately
    6. Keep up-to-date with all operating/ maintenance manuals, checklists, service bulletins, etc.
