Job Objective

Overall supervision of shop floor activities and machine operations, Responsible for operation management, motivate team, OEE, Root Cause Analysis (RCA),

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Roles & Responsibilities
The key Roles and Responsibilities of Senior Engineer is to
  • Ensure the availability of 4M Concepts.

  • Ensure the availability of BOM items at the respective cluster area

  • Ensure 5S, kaizen, cleanliness and safety in the respective area

  • Collect the production data, analyse and present as per the plan

  • Plan for Work-In-Progress (WIP) materials for succeeding stages

  • Do Root Cause Analysis and CAPA.

  • Drive Shop Floor Management Systems

  • Monitor the equipment to ensure proper function throughout the production process and machine monitoring and maintenance

  • Test or measure or verify or check product(s) quality to ensure that they meet specifications

  • Maintain production / process / quality and equipment related statistics / metrics and production log book

  • Align with co-workers, supervisors, engineers and managers to ensure that the results of their activities meet as per the expectations.

  • Maintain OEE / SPC data collection as instructed by the SOPs

  • Implementation of TQM, TPM Concept on Shop Floor lie 5S,3M,JIT,Suggestion Scheme,OEE,TPM,

  • SMED Systems on Production Floor.

    Safety Requirement
    EHS : Safety -Culture building and ensuring commitment towards Safety, Health and Environmental regulations. (i.e To Implement Zero harm culture in the organization.)
    Establish Safe work practices.
    Ensure Daily Tool Box Talk with all stake holder, Compliance of rules/ guidelines of safety. Training, Refresher training for MHE operators.

    Shift & Shopfloor Management
  • Responsible for Proper Manpower handling for Production line.

  • Ensuring day wise & shift wise volume as per ABP targets.

  • Scheduling variant wise products as per the dispatch meeting CRDD (Customer requirement delivery date)

  • Monthly WIP & Shop floor inventory analysis and corrective measures.

  • Ensure that the Volume, Quality parameters, Manpower utlilization and development and Compliances are met and exceeded

    To maintain Quality of Product
    Responsible for QMS in Compliance with ISO 9000:2008, ISO 14001, OHAS: 18001.
  • Implementation of TQM Concept on Shop Floor like 5S,3M,JIT,Suggestion Scheme.
  • To maintain quality standards

    Manufacturing Process Knowledge
  • Should have hands-on exposure of Module Manufacturing Vertical.

  • Manage relationships with internal senior stakeholders.

  • Responsible for Shop Floor Discipline.

  • Should have very good exposure on Module Manufacturing operations at larger scale. Improving OEE, TPM Activities, Work Study, Line Balancing, Automation setting benchmark, process stability. Responsible for Machine Time Up.
