Key Responsibilities
- ✅ Design, develop, and validate tooling solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product quality.
- ✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling meets production requirements.
- ✅ Conduct tooling trials and tests; analyze results to recommend improvements.
- ✅ Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues to minimize production downtime.
- ✅ Create and maintain documentation for tooling designs, specifications, and maintenance procedures.
- ✅ Utilize CAD software to create detailed tooling designs and models.
- ✅ Monitor tooling performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- ✅ Support supplier management and vendor evaluations for tooling components.
- ✅ Provide technical support and training to production teams on tooling usage and maintenance.
- ✅ Manage tooling budgets and report on costs and savings.
- ✅ Lead tooling-related projects from conception through implementation.
Your Qualifications
- 🎓 Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- 💼 2 to 4 years of experience in tooling design and engineering (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
- 🖥 Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and familiar with machining processes
- 🔍 Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- 📈 Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and safety standards
