Position: Assembly Operator

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

  • A Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with first class (minimum 60% marks)
  • Certification in EOT crane operation (mandatory requirement)
  • Additional vocational training in manufacturing processes is preferred
  • Basic computer literacy and understanding of technical drawings

Required Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Technical Expertise: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing assembly operations
  • Equipment Proficiency: Skilled in operating and maintaining production machinery
  • Digital Literacy: Working knowledge of SAP and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Process Improvement: Experience with VSM activities and Lean management principles
  • Safety Consciousness: Thorough understanding of industrial safety protocols
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills for clear technical communication
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot production issues

Detailed Job Responsibilities

Production Operations

  • Execute daily assembly operations according to production schedules and quality standards
  • Operate EOT cranes and other manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to cycle times and output targets
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation

Quality Assurance

  • Inspect output to identify and segregate non-conforming products
  • Implement quality control measures throughout the assembly process
  • Provide precise feedback on yield issues to supervisors
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Process Development

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement standard production processes
  • Contribute to developing new manufacturing methods for improved reliability and cost-efficiency
  • Support new product introduction and production ramp-up activities
  • Suggest continuous improvement ideas for manufacturing operations

Safety Compliance

  • Strictly follow all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized work environment following 5S principles
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessment activities
  • Report any potential hazards or near-miss incidents immediately

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with supervisors and cross-functional teams to achieve production goals
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required
  • Participate in training programs and knowledge sharing sessions
  • Maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization
