Position: Assembly Operator
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- A Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with first class (minimum 60% marks)
- Certification in EOT crane operation (mandatory requirement)
- Additional vocational training in manufacturing processes is preferred
- Basic computer literacy and understanding of technical drawings
Required Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Technical Expertise: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing assembly operations
- Equipment Proficiency: Skilled in operating and maintaining production machinery
- Digital Literacy: Working knowledge of SAP and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Process Improvement: Experience with VSM activities and Lean management principles
- Safety Consciousness: Thorough understanding of industrial safety protocols
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills for clear technical communication
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot production issues
Detailed Job Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Execute daily assembly operations according to production schedules and quality standards
- Operate EOT cranes and other manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to cycle times and output targets
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
Quality Assurance
- Inspect output to identify and segregate non-conforming products
- Implement quality control measures throughout the assembly process
- Provide precise feedback on yield issues to supervisors
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Process Development
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement standard production processes
- Contribute to developing new manufacturing methods for improved reliability and cost-efficiency
- Support new product introduction and production ramp-up activities
- Suggest continuous improvement ideas for manufacturing operations
Safety Compliance
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- Maintain clean and organized work environment following 5S principles
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessment activities
- Report any potential hazards or near-miss incidents immediately
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with supervisors and cross-functional teams to achieve production goals
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required
- Participate in training programs and knowledge sharing sessions
- Maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization
