Position Description

Title:   ME Manager

Benchmark:         

Reports To: Plant Manager

Description: (ME)

The Entity ME manager is in charge of managing all ME resources within his organization. The expected main achievements are :

• managing ME in programs 
• monitoring and managing capacity and related investments
• supporting operations in matching QCD objectives
• managing ME networks and Team
• reporting key ME indicators

ME in programs

• • Participate to ME resources allocation in Programs.
  • Manage the Program Manufacturing Leaders team
  • Support to RFQ in order to give manufacturing inputs
  • Participate to the gate reviews and validate the industrial gate reviews; contribute to program tracking consolidation
  • Ensure ME standards application and the definition of FES-compliant processes
  • Handle the responsibility of new programs and acts as a Plant program team Leader.

Capacity and associated capex

• • Propose division industrial plans to optimize footprint and equipment utilization
  • Build and manage investment, tooling and manufacturing engineering budgets
  • Track machines and equipment workload according to customers demand

Operations QCD objectives

• • Support operations in achieving QCD objectives during series production.
  • Manage productivity workshops and participate to continous improvement processes in plants
  • Consolidate ME key indicators of the plants and propose action plans

 

         

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a specialisation in mechanics and automation
• 10 years of experience in Production area, including one position in Manufacturing Engineering.  At least 5 years of maintenance/engineering experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Trained in Faurecia Excellence System and Program Management System, experience in program launch.
• Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety & Environment skills
• Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety & Environment skills
• Computer knowledge and skills
• Innovation and change management skills
• Strong people management skills, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to effectively interact with associates at all levels and build a network in a matrix organisation
• Leadership skills
• Strong communication skills, ability to manage functional network (Plant ME Managers) and line management (Program ME Leaders)
• International mindset
• English required
