Full Job Description

Position Overview
As a software engineering intern you will join a team developing important components that will be the building blocks for Enterprise Data Hub. We’re looking for people who are excited by building data products and data pipeline services, which enables all analytics users across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Finance teams, to generate actionable insights. We want people who like creating data solutions that are scalable, reliable and optimized.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in cutting edge research to develop solutions for real-world, large-scale problems
  • Research, conceive and develop data platform to help generate insights to extend and improve on Autodesk's product offering
  • Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to data and information
  • Utilize exposure to large-scale production software troubleshooting
  • Help maintain mission critical services
  • Investigate and, as necessary, prototype technologies and algorithms relating to the task.
  • Promote excellence in data product design and implementation with regards to efficiency and scalability
  • Prepare, present and discuss benefits and risks of alternative software implementation approaches.
  • Conduct and participate in peer design or code reviews with own and other teams.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering with major in: Computer Science or relevant.
  • Full-time, 6-month commitment from Jan to Jun 2023

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge and experience of programming languages like Python, Java etc.
  • Good understanding and experiences working with SQL, data model tool and data flow chart.
  • Exposure to DBMS such as SQL Server, mySQL, MongoDB, etc.
  • Exposure on cloud technologies like AWS etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Should have problem solving skills and general curiosity of knowing how things work
  • Should be comfortable working in a team or independently as needed

  • Students will get hands-on exposure to designing data pipeline solutions and would also have opportunity to learn how to solve real-world complex data issues with Scalability and Resiliency in mind
  • Students will research and learn about creating consistent, reusable, flexible data products. They will further learn how to make design decisions while understanding our stakeholders’ perspectives
  • Students will also get hands-on experiences building analytics reports, dashboards, and/or even ML models.
