This is a Electrical Design Engineer – Switchgear, GIS role and part of Electrification Business Area for Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik.
Your responsibilities
- Preparation of Electrical Schematics with knowledge of protection philosophy.
- Understanding of Electrical schematics, switchgear protection relays , instrument transformer, sensors its functionality and coordination.
- Evaluate electrical schematics, systems, components and applications by designing proper schemes with knowledge of developing test method and its implementation.
- Design reviews in close communication with other R&D project Managers and technical experts
- Perform design validation through calculations, Analysis, Testing.
- Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical engineering codes.
Your background
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in Protection Philosophy Design and Development for Medium Voltage Outdoor Circuit Breakers is preferred. (Circuit Breaker for Air Insulated or Gas Insulated Switchgears)
- Excellent competence with CAD (E-Plan, AutoCAD, Solid works etc.,) technical drawings and experience in PLM systems like SolidWorks/SmarTeam/Windchill is added advantage.
- Knowledge about type testing, IEC standards
- Preferably from background of Circuit Breaker / Auto-recloser / AIS /GIS Design and Development.
- Knowledge of IEC for High Voltage and Low voltage
