COO ASP > Regional Procurement ASP > Service procurement ASP



ASP Regional Procurement Organization (RPO) is responsible for handling ASP (India, Greater Asia, Australia & NewZealand) Vestas' spend with external suppliers. With a matrix organization, the RPO ensures the deployment of common strategy and processes with same overall milestones across all Vestas regions. We support our Service business and Production Facilities deliver projects safely, on time, in budget, with the right quality by driving supplier selection for critical indirect spend categories.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for organizing the sourcing activities for WTG Spare parts in ASP Region
  • Identify the components for localization, explore the opportunity to develop the supply base in Best cost country within region, ensure positive Business Case and work together with Engineering, Supplier Quality Development team for implementation of the same
  • Develop suppliers for long term supply and service of these commodities in matrix working with global organization
  • Develop fruitful relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders: Service Managers, Supply Chain, Repairs, Site Team, Safety experts, Global commodity managers etc
  • Develop relationships with our key suppliers and ensure they support us in achieving our strategic goals
  • Identify and carry out on opportunities to improve our Safety and Quality performance, reduce the TCO, streamline processes
  • Improve continuous improvement (work together with Business for Supplier performance improvement, periodical market analysis for cost benchmark to stay competitive etc.)


Qualifications

  • Academic degree in engineering or business studies (or work equivalent)
  • 6-8 years work experience in Purchsing & positions requiring good stakeholder management and commercial skills
  • Prior experience in the wind industry or equivalent, especially dealing with Component Sourcing


Competencies

  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Structured person with solid data perceptive and negotiation skills
  • Positive and solution-oriented problem solver
  • Able to demonstrate business activities and results in front of small and medium group of audience using relevant PowerPoint Presentations
  • Understanding about Supplier Relationship Management
