This is a Material Compliance Lead role, reporting to the Engineering Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible to lead strategic sourcing activities for Material Compliance Management requirement. Support Division and Local divisions in identifying best process and support options. Support in conceptualize and delivery for material compliance needs. Target achievement in terms of most competitive cost/budget, schedule and quality.
Your responsibilities
- Compliance program management as per stakeholder requirement and understand the content of the material compliance regulation
- Collaborate with external service provider who will manage collection of data at part number level from the suppliers
- Ensure that each regulation in country will be managed properly with prompt coordination of the activities with the service providers.
- Ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future compliance requirements.
- Ensure all relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly. Support delivery process and support from ABB Material compliance team.
- Manage and develop relationships with suppliers and stakeholders at Local Division units. Asses and evaluate existing suppliers' performance.
- Analyze procurement processes covering total costs & delivery times. Identifies opportunities to improve both cost and time on regular and non-regular equipment being procured.
- Define and Apply relevant procurement quality procedures and plans and ensures appropriate implementation and compliance.
Your background
- Bachelors degree in Engineering.
- Experience (7+ years) from industrial companies and/or with focus on supply base management and process improvements.
- Experience in working in international environments with different cultures/languages and managing stakeholders of varying management levels.
- Knowledge on Supply Chain Management.
- Strong analytical skills (proficient in excel).
- Strong communication skills.
