Job Description Summary
Activities aimed at proving a concept to be valid or technically feasible by the application of scientific and engineering methodologies. Work in this family typically has the objective of demonstrating through test or analyses the performance and implementation potential of a conceptAccountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop additive deep domain expertise for long term
Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM) including part consolidation, additive costing & DMLM (Direct Metal Laser Melting) support structures design
Carry out structural & thermal analysis, topology optimization as well as hand-calculations to meet design objectives of reduced cost, weight and improved performance
Simulation of additive build process, use of available tools for design and manufacturing of additive components
