This exciting role offers opportunity to:
- The primary function of this position is to drive and shape DtV/VAVE portfolio by working closely with various Eaton business groups as part Direct Material Productivity (DMP) team.
- The applicant is also supposed to lead key DtV/VAVE cost out / avoidance projects for immediate/short- & long-term growth portfolio of DTV/VAVE at DMP.
- This involves close collaboration with various Eaton business group divisions and Global Procurement Organization to generate cost out opportunities.
- The applicant will be responsible for working on various aspects of Direct Material Productivity with the primary goal of identifying, developing, and maintaining services that deliver significant cost out opportunities as well as creating a robust pipeline of executable cost out projects.
- The applicant will be able to drive outcomes for the internal customers, excellent project management skills, communication & presentation skills and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated capability in driving NPI/Sustaining/VAVE projects for Contactor, Switch Disconnector, Motor Protection Circuit Breaker, Push buttons, Overload Relay products
Qualifications
Requirement:
- BE/Btech/ME/Mtech in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronics
- 7+ years’ experience in industry. Various electrical products
- Technical knowledge: NPD lifecycle, Benchmarking of electrical components, VAVE process, Various electrical products like switches, contactors, relays etc.
- Working in global business environment, Drive for results. Influencing without authority. Strategic Planning.
- Experience in VAVE projects from concept to launch.
- Experience must include hands on experience with design of products from concept to commercialization including and not limited to part detailing and designing, component and material selection, protyping and validation
- Strong experience in complete Product Design cycle
- Proven track record of successful product launches realized cost out and intellectual property generation.
- Should be proficient with GD&T, Six Sigma, DFMEA, DFMA, UL certification, VAVE understanding
- Take technical ownership of the projects. Ensure product compliance to global design standards like IEC, UL, CSA, NEMA or any other compliance standard.
- Complete tear downs, generate ideas, perform system / component sizing, modeling, and simulation to meet product design and compliance requirements
- Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement.
- Experience in PLM system is required to get drawings and cost data (Enovia / SAP preferred)
