Overall Purpose of the Role
Troubleshoot locomotive technical issues, ensure locomotive availability & reliability, and contribute to reliability growth using best practices. 🚆🔧
Responsibilities
- ✅ Troubleshoot locomotives during service operations and warranty as per best practices.
- ✅ Ensure certification & validity of relevant tools.
- ✅ Populate failure databases (FRACAS, Railsys Light, etc.).
- ✅ Guarantee smooth information flow within the troubleshooting team.
- ✅ Contribute to reliability growth and return of experience.
- ✅ Provide support in special cases (e.g., FMI).
- ✅ Adhere to EHS rules and work-related processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- 🎓 Minimum of BE (Electrical) from a recognized University.
- 💻 IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, software uploading/downloading).
- 🗣 Fluent in English (and Hindi preferred).
Experience / Skill Set
- 🔧 6+ years’ experience as a Troubleshooter/Maintainer in Electric Loco/Metro Shed.
- 🔍 Proven experience troubleshooting defects in WAG5, WAG7, WAG9, WAP series or in Metro.
- 📄 Thorough knowledge of locomotive power circuits, DJ control, auxiliary, traction, pneumatic, and SMGR circuits.
- 📐 Ability to read and understand schematic drawings and software specifications.
- 💻 Proficient with MS Office tools.
