Key Responsibilities
- 🛠️ Turbine Mechanical Design: Lead basic design and calculations for hydro turbines and auxiliary components.
- 📊 Collaboration: Work with consulting engineers, design teams, customers, and cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, site).
- 🔧 Problem Solving: Use technical expertise to resolve design issues, and lead root cause analysis of field failures.
- ⚙️ Innovation: Adopt new technologies to improve product cost-out and enhance design robustness.
- 📅 Leadership: Lead new product introductions (NPI), cost-out programs, and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
Required Qualifications
- 🎓 Degree: Bachelor's/Master’s in Mechanical Engineering
- 🛠️ Experience: 8-12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in hydro/heavy machinery design and field experience.
- 💻 Tools Expertise: Experience with Autocad, UGNX, and other relevant design tools.
- 🌐 Industry Experience: Power or large EPC industry experience is preferred.
- 📝 Language: Proficiency in English for global communications.
Desired Characteristics
- 🛠️ Additional knowledge of Ansys, Corella is a plus.
- 🌍 Ability to manage multicultural and multi-location environments.
- 🤝 Team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
