You will be working as Automation Testing Engineer and will be part of Electrification Business Area for Distribution Solutions Division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to Project Operations Manager and will be responsible for conducting testing and verification activities for assignments of low/medium testing complexity of systems, subsystems, or products effectively and cost-efficiently, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
Your responsibilities
- Executing testing according to schedule, preparing project test documentation and providing technical support during installation of test objects in the test area
- Ensuring that type tests are carried to meet the contractual obligations and tests/inspections at suppliers' premises are carried out to meet the contractual obligations of systems orders
- Supervising Associate Test Engineers and maintaining network of engineering professionals and sharing best practices
- Making risk assessments to assure safe systems of work and taking appropriate actions and reporting contract/quality/program/cost issues to management across different projects
- Ensuring all applicable requirements, maintains test reports, and certificates that prove compliance with required and applicable standards, market, or regulatory requirements in line with customer specifications, legal or ABB internal requirements
- Following work plans and cost estimates for work in one’s area of responsibility and ensuring quality timely implementation within targeted cost
- Collaborating with the supply chain function to ensure correct suppliers services and equipment are available to support testing activities
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in testing
- Experience in testing of LV switchgear panel is preferred
- Highly motivated team-player with a collaborative, learning & solutions-oriented approach
- Strong communication skills
