Factor I: Accountability

  • The entire customer orders are expected to be schedule within 4 days for all KOB types
  • MPS refers to the Pre commit / E-prospectus/ Project prospectus, component material lead time, project inspection and shipment schedule as a guideline for order acknowledgement.
  • MPS to remove scheduling hold for SO then progress & and create the star (*) configured item.
  • MPS will update the schedule ship date if needed in Oracle system Order Organizer form. The Advance Supply Chain Planning system will run overnight for the buyers and planner’s action
  • ATP will recommend schedule ship date based on customer request date and material availability. ATP is readily/automatically available and updated real-time via pegging tree window. Ensure Level loading in align with plant capacity.
  • Daily morning market discussion between planner and operation team on production plan and other pending issue.
  • Scheduling Summary report is available to review status of the SO either meeting the customer request date or not.
  • Communicate with the operation team for the resource planning if any product family have huge surge demand .
  • Each Value stream/product family loading chart with latest backlog loading, planned capacity, max capacity in weekly and monthly basis
  • MPS will adjust the SSD for the auto scheduled order when needed.
  • MPS target to promise SO within 3wks, MPS will communicate with the buyer for the PO promise date & also escalate to material manager when necessary
  • Compare old and new starred (*) configured items using BOM comparison form in Betsy to identify the additional parts and the parts that are not required.
  • Firming process to be used for CO to avoid high jacking the material
  • Rescheduling to be done based on RICE130 for SSD 6 to 16 weeks review with buyer
  • Ship set to be ensured for single lot shipment.
  • MPS will progress the SO & cancel the pre order NSDJ within the same day

How Used


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Mechanical or related discipline, with minimum 3+ years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of valve industry
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially in Excel and PowerPoint and the necessary skills to effectively utilize technology and systems specific to the department required.
  • Familiar with Oracle application of Betsy & Billy.
  • Ensure that the orders are scheduled as per the LT / SLT with buyer acknowledgement
  • Scheduling based on plant capacity, ATP and ensure Level loading.
  • 6-16 th Week review with buyer and rescheduling based on SD report
  • Generate monthly reports and presentations.
  • Bi-weekly meeting between MPS and buyer to discuss on the material alignment
  • Discuss with buyer and reschedule the MPS based on the Change order for not released orders.
