You have the opportunity to carry out, independently and according to our quality standards, the design of cabling and wiring for the complete IGT fixed systems and comply to medical standards and regulations.

You will be developing electrical (sub-) systems and solutions (including their validation, testing and troubleshooting) for Interventional Guided Therapy systems (fixed interventional X-Ray systems). You will work within a multi-disciplinary team on applying research results and technology advancements to improve and release new advancements of Philips IGT Systems. Our system needs to fulfill all applicable international standards.

You are responsible for

  • The wiring / cabling design of a system, subsystem and component. You understand and communicate consequences of the design on the architecture and EMC.

  • Developing wiring / cabling design specifications in accordance with the norms and the functional specifications.

  • Finalizing the wiring / cabling design specifications, schematics and drawings for the developed modules or components.

  • The creation, maintenance and quality of the library components in our cabling / wiring development software (E-Plan).

  • Delivering input in the planning process to the project leader.

  • Proper documentation for the developed wiring / cabling.

  • Clear communication and successful cooperation with your colleagues in India and Netherlands, or any other part of world.

  • Setup the test strategy and test plans to comply with international standards in alignment with the norm compliance department.

  • Co-creating, maintaining and carry out the electronics team vision / mission / strategy.

  • Co-create, maintain and improve your facilities (labs, equipment, quality of own and suppliers)

  • Perform quality and compliance tests

  • Direct and support your team and suppliers

  • Consult and coach electrical / mechanical / software designers in design solutions.

  • Successful cooperation with your internal / external customers

You are a part of the R&D department of the mechatronic development cluster within the IGT Fixed Systems R&D organization. The department consists of an open and multi-cultural and cross functional team working on lifecycle management (PQ&M) and new product introductions (PDLM).


To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • An Engineering degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics engineering or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of relevant industry experience in a professional engineering environment
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in development and / or measurement (preferable experience in IEC60601-1-2)
  • Experience in new product introduction or life-cycle development in the industry
  • Being a team player with good communication and soft skills
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Drive for quality and continues improvement
  • Demonstrated ability in reliability engineering
