VACANCY FOR Electrical cum Instrumentation Engineer

Join us as Electrical cum Instrumentation Engineer based in Pune. To Execute engineering activity for Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation disciplines of High-Speed Separator modules, Evaporation modules for projects in Energy, Marine and Diesel area. Plan and execute engineering activities across a range of HSS module, Evaporation module projects, in accordance with Alfa Laval’s project methodology to secure project execution in accordance with expectations catering to high workload in electrical and instrumentation engineering

The position / About the Job:
In this job the Electrical cum Instrumentation Engineer would be responsible for:
Key Tasks and responsibilities:
    • Plan & execute the Electrical, instrumentation and Automation related activities for the project.
  • Handle & execute simple hard/ software orders independently in consultation with PM, delivering equipment/ or plants as per the contract requirements within the project budget & agreed time.
  • Instrument’s, Control valve Selection, Sizing and datasheet preparation as per project requirement.
  • Carry out electrical and automation engineering which include electrical specifications of complete process plants, calculations, hardware and software specification of electrical and control panels, instrumentation, necessary technical documentation, function description specification, O&M manuals, follow-up at the sub-suppliers and hotline support for start-up of the plants.
  • Coordinate for FAT & SAT and other inspection requirements.
  • Regularly monitor the progress, resolve operational hurdles/ bottlenecks that might hamper execution of project.
  • Ensure cost optimization on projects by optimizing design, procurement etc.
  • Attend site meetings with customer, consultants, and external suppliers.
  • Participate in proposal and sales work as & when required.
  • Stay up to date with new technology and tools and be able to implement, if necessary.
  • Support Supply Chain in identifying, evaluating & selecting the alternate vendors.
  • Cost estimation of electrical systems.
  • Commissioning at Project site as & when required.
  • Documentation and recording as per department practices.
  • Ensure to follow best engineering practices in accordance with internal rules, hereunder 6 Basics.
  • Support Supply Chain in identifying, evaluating the alternate vendors.
  • Show intent to implement standards and work processes.
  • To understand Energy and Marine/Diesel specific process requirement and implement those in engineering process.
  • Interface with Sales, Fabrication, Service and order handling and bridge the gaps. Influence the product configuration decision
What you can be?
Experience & Education:
  • 2-3 years Industrial Experience in Automation/ Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering domain
  • Have basic exposure to Electrical engineering process
  • Graduate /Postgraduate –Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering
Knowledge:
  • Good knowledge of engineering practices codes & standards related to Module engineering
  • Practical experience with High-speed separators will be added advantage.
  • Practical experience in module building and operation.
  • Industry Knowledge of High-speed separators for oil cleaning and in Energy sector
Skills:
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Project Engineering skills with relevant experience.
  • Good communication and networking skills. Express well verbally.
  • Cross-cultural awareness.
