This is a Project Engineer role, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible to provide assistance to Project Managers for the technical and administrative management of projects (documentary, financial and export).
Your responsibilities at ABB Job
- Initiate and lead internal meetings (at the initiative of the project manager).
- Prepare work meetings (internal & external) upstream and write the minutes of meeting.
- Prepare and update monthly progress reports for clients, as well as lists of deliverables.
- Prepare the Transmittal sheet and issue the documents.
- Follow the administrative & financial aspects of the project (new forecast proposal, order registration preparation, follow-up & billing reminders).
- Ensure the preparation of change order.
- Prepare shipping requests.
- Prepare shipments in interface with others department (transport, sales back office).
- Monitor site activities (days spent on site, control of time sheets etc.)
- Initiate internal lists of spare parts and coordinate the sending of spare parts at the end of the project.
- Follow the preparation of the final Documentation.
- Prepare the request for sending customer satisfaction questionnaires.
- Prepare project closure report - with consolidation of lessons learned.
- Activate the archiving / closure of the project.
- Follow topics of improvement tools/methods of the Project Management Office.
Education Required for ABB job
- Technical Diploma/Graduation in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
- 5 years' experience in similar functions ideally in an international environment.
- Technical knowledge of the “Process, Mechanical, Electrical or Automation” Type/subjects.
- Language: Fluent English and French (read, spoken & written).
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP.
- Determination, capacity to organize the own daily work and prioritize topics, capacity to address multiple and diverse technical issue in a complex environment, autonomy, customer orientation, sensitivity to Integrity and security aspects.
