The work will focus on the development of downhole completion tools and production equipment. The majority of work will involve FEA analysis of completion equipment including liners, hangers, packers, valves, screens, sleeves and entire systems. The analyses will aide early development of internal engineering groups’ conceptual designs, finished designs subject to customer acceptance reviews, and operational decisions in the field with existing equipment.

As a Mechanical Engineer, your main responsibilities are:

  • Planning and conducting research, design, and development of standard engineering assignments.
  • Selecting engineering techniques to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations.
  • Assessing results for applicability, validity, and conformance to specifications.
  • Be the lead engineer on smaller project with some functional supervision.
  • Assisting in project planning and review.
  • Handling special projects as assigned.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years’ experience with modeling and simulation or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years’ experience with modeling and simulation or PhD in Mechanical Engineering and 1+yrs experience with modeling and simulation.
  • Should have solid understanding and experience of Static, Dynamics, Elastic-plastic and Hyperelastic simulation, fatigue and Fracture Mechanics, commercial FEA software (MSC. Marc, Abaqus, and HyperMesh), and 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks/Unigraphics/ProE).
  • Have solid understanding of both metallic and polymeric material.
  • Have Experience with Completion tools development and general project management knowledge.
