COO Engineering Services is an Engineering Hub in Assembly, Generator, Towers and Converters & Controls manufacturing value chain. We impose innovative & creative solutions and drive continuous improvement culture to make Vestas vision come true. We directly contribute to Vestas Must-win Battles (Quality, Sustainability, Modularization, Talent and Leadership and recent addition Offshore) and COO strategic priorities. Manufacturing Tooling team has been supporting the Production Engineering across all the Vestas Factories in Assembly, Generator, Convertors & Controls Segment. The services rendered include systemized implementation of Tool , Equipment and Machineries with the sole aim of providing best in class productivity in the safest possible way
Responsibilities
- Responsible to design the optimal layout solution ensuring the Safety/Environmental and Ergonomics aspects are considered
- Responsible to detail custom layout including floor plan, placement, routing, verification, and release of final database that connect systems and processes throughout a complex, industrial environment
- Responsible to validate the input data for the layout engineering of the building (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, equipment data, cable list, electrical load list, etc.), evaluates them and verifies their technical consistency
- Responsible to design the pipes, and electrical cable trays in the 3D model if required and do an initial check of the consistency between the process & instrumentation diagrams and the 3D model
- Responsible for all the related technical documents (progress reports, equipment introduction note, change impact analysis, design procedures, etc.)
- Responsible to communicate the layout drawings to the various cross functional teams and coordinates the layout activities by ensuring compliance with the layout rules
Vestas India Recruitment Process-
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering (or) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or allied with experience in Industrial design
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Plant layout design and layout detailing in both 3D and 2D environment with a view of Safety & Quality
- Experience in design and specification in compliant to the relevant international standards
Vestas Career requirements-
Competencies- In-depth knowledge in Layout standards & Ergonomics and hands-on experience in 2D design tool - AutoCAD
- Experience in at least anyone of the sketching / styling software's like Rhinoceros, Siemens NX, Solidworks (3D Sculptor), Autodesk Alias, Autodesk Sketchbook, Adobe Illustrator, etc.,
- Exposure or experience in performing DFX study, process simulation, capacity planning, production flow optimization, Takt time evaluation
- Broad Knowledge in Engineering Basics with understanding of Tools, Equipment, Machinery assembly & handling in the manufacturing value chain
- Good Communication Skills which enable you to convey to a wide range of stakeholders across the globe
- Open-minded and good at sharing and gathering information within team and stakeholders
