Supplier Quality Engineer


In this role, you will drive supplier continuous improvement activities, audits and assure quality level of our suppliers through quality control procedures. You will work on improving supplier accuracy and balancing supplier capabilities. You will also monitor quality of specifications to our suppliers, securing Tetra Pak design in our supply chain.


This position will be based in Chakan, Pune. You will travel around 75% of your time.

What You Will Do


As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will:


  • Secure parts delivery quality following Tetra Pak Parts validation process( APQP) to prevent supplier failure and achieve FTR
  • Handle technical issues and claims from final or internal customer with root cause analysis, improvement action and drive action with supplier to eradicate the root cause
  • Participate in supplier audit and improvement activities
  • Be part of WCM pillar and drive loss eradication team at supplier to reduce SNC
  • Assure quality performance level of the suppliers
  • Supply Chain Quality Control maintenance
  • Prevent and eradicate Supplier failures
  • Coordinate efficient engineering changes across Tetra Pak supply chain

Who You Are


To be successful in this role, you have an Engineering Degree, preferably in mechanical engineering. You have at least 3 years’ experience on supplier quality and/or development in manufacturing industry with a background in quality systems, parts validation following APQP process and continuous improvement programs as WCM (World Class Manufacturing) and Six Sigma. You have strong skills and efficient abilities on Problem Solving situations and challenges. Machining parts inspection/ fabrication part inspection knowledge are preferred.


We believe you have strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. You also have the ability to work with Stakeholder Management in project/product engineering, supply management and logistic teams on a daily basis and able to influence supplier's top management. Preferably, you have previous experience from a large multinational company, or maybe from a consultant organization. You are an advanced user of MS Office 365 collaboration tools, Power BI, familiar with Auto Cad, SAP environment and normal quality control tools.


Your English skills are excellent, written and Hindi excellent in spoken
