🔧 Manufacturing Role Responsibilities & Qualifications

In one of our Manufacturing roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed, you will need the following qualifications and to meet these expectations:

Education

Diploma/Fresher in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

Overall Safety Expectations

Follow all KC Safety rules and Guidelines. Take care of your own safety as well as others'. Perform periodic safety observations to identify hazards and support closing them. Report near misses, abnormal conditions, and unsafe acts in a timely manner. Adhere to risk assessment, work SOPs, LOTO Management, work permits, emergency response plans, safety targets, PCS, and other safety compliance measures.

Overall Quality Expectations

Follow personal and workplace hygiene, as well as all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) per KC guidelines and QMS (Quality Management System). Focus on actions that keep customer and consumer expectations at the center. Your individual actions should contribute to delivering high-quality products to the market—a quality-focused mindset is essential.

Production & Machine Operations

• Team of Production Associates for machine tasks including raw material & packing material preparation, loading, splicing, and unloading at the shift level.
• Material threading and routing with defined routes and rechecking products after material splicing.
• Machine troubleshooting for breakdowns, quality defects, and short stops. Conduct problem-solving RCA periodically.
• Maintain machine and work area cleaning and ensure 5S compliance on the shop floor.
• Document all material traceability reports, production logbooks, packing logbooks, and other records.

Quality & Process Control

• Perform real-time variable and attribute checks for various product and packaging quality parameters; record results in quality systems/software and other documents.
• Follow “non-confirming product” handling guidelines to ensure only good products are shipped out; segregate and recheck products on hold for quality reasons.

Machine Settings & Maintenance

• Set and run the machine on center line with good run settings (GRS) and maintain all critical machine settings/equipment to deliver a safe product.
• Achieve volume delivery KPIs, OEE, waste reduction, and other performance, quality, and safety KPIs.
• Perform cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and tightening on machines to maintain optimal condition.
• Follow visual health checkups, temperature, vibration, greasing, and oiling checks; plan to close any abnormalities.
• Perform preventive & predictive maintenance periodically.

Additional Responsibilities

• Ensure proper cleaning on hot melt applications to increase part lifespan and operational performance.
• Follow systematic spare parts replacement (based on lifecycle and condition) for breakdown-free operation.
• Carry out pack count changes, product size changes, and tier changes using QCO (Quick Changeover) Lean principles.
• Enter data on machine downtime, stops, waste, production, and machine performance in various software and MIS systems.
• Focus on Lean Manufacturing to reduce material and product waste and improve quality.
• Apply Kaizen and continuous improvement principles to deliver benchmark performance in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and compliance KPIs.

Quality Assurance & Engineering Support

• Quality Assurance Associate: Follow personal and plant hygiene, perform quality testing and inspections, handle customer complaints, and document quality results. Conduct periodic audits for critical control points and maintain 5S and QMS standards.
• Mechanical Engineering Associate: Manage spare parts inventory, perform overhauling of units, conduct stock counts, refurbish hot melt parts, maintain ink jet coding machines, and support PM and changeover activities.
• Utility Associate: Oversee utility and electrical operations including transformers, HT/LT rooms, DG sets, compressors, chillers, AHUs, WTP, STP, and more. Support panel maintenance, new project installations, and ensure uninterrupted mill operations.
