📌 Job Purpose and Impact
As part of the GE India Multi-modal Loco team, the Assistant Engineer is responsible for the production of Locomotive Bogie assembly. You will ensure safety, quality, process tryouts, and continual improvements (Kaizen, 5S, LEAN principles) by following QMS procedures and policies. 🚀🔧
🔧 Key Accountabilities
- Provide support in reliability excellence activities and prioritize value creation opportunities. 💡✅
- Help develop, design, and install predictive maintenance programs in alignment with area procedures. 🔧📊
- Assist in technical reviews and collaborate on new equipment reliability specifications. 🤝🔍
- Support the identification and elimination of defects to optimize equipment availability. 📈⚙️
- Prioritize, plan, and scope maintenance activities and work orders. 📆📝
- Collaborate with maintenance, repairs, and production teams to identify critical spares. 🤝⚙️
- Handle basic issues under supervision and escalate complex problems as needed. 🚨🔧
- Perform other duties as assigned. 🔄✨
🎓 Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 🎓✅
