Testing & Commissioning Engineer – Siemens | 3-8 Years Experience ⚡🔧
Siemens is transforming the way we live and work by intelligently connecting energy systems, buildings, and industries! 🌍💡 We are seeking a Testing & Commissioning Engineer to help us deliver sustainable energy solutions through the commissioning of HV/MV substations, power transformers, and auxiliary systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- 🏗️ On-site commissioning of up to 220kV AIS/GIS substations, including power transformers, circuit breakers, instrument transformers, auxiliary power systems, and control & protection systems.
- 🔌 Preparation of test documentation and red-markup of SLDs, cable schedules, and schematic drawings in coordination with our engineering department.
- 📅 Coordination of testing & commissioning schedules with the project/site teams for readiness and daily activities.
- 🛠️ Involvement in testing of secondary circuits and their integration into control & protection systems.
- 🌱 Support Commissioning Management in Quality, Risk, and Claim Management.
- 🤝 Participation in improvement programs like reviews, trainings, and lessons learned.
Key Requirements:
- 🎓 Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (3-8 years experience) or diploma in electrical engineering (5-10 years experience).
- ⚡ Experience in HV/MV substations and knowledge in switchgear, instrument transformers, power transformers, and auxiliary power systems.
- 📝 Solid understanding of control, protection, and interlocking systems for power substations, including reading SLDs and schematic drawings.
- 🔧 Hands-on experience in testing Switchyard equipment such as power transformers, HV/MV panels, power cables, and control panels.
- 🧰 Proficiency with relay test equipment (e.g. Omicron) and engineering tools like Siemens DIGSI software.
- 🌏 Willingness to travel for testing and commissioning activities on-site for long/short term assignments.
Additional Skills:
- 💬 Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- 💪 Team player, communicative, proactive, with excellent decision-making and conflict-handling abilities.
