The position holder will be responsible for defining the technical needs of the tractor and passenger vehicle powertrain customers and translating them into an SKF product and service offerings related to bearings around Wheel, transmission, driveshaft, axles, and differential applications.

Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Business stakeholders, the position holder will help generate profitable business through engineering solutions to customer needs. They manage and lead technical partnership with customers, identifying opportunities, responding to inquiries, handling complaints, evaluating, and mitigating technical risks.

Key Responsibilities at SKF

• Independently lead and grow business engagement with customer Engineering and Sourcing teams.

• Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities by understanding customer concerns and evolving market needs.

• Identify and analyse the customer technical requirements and communicate the parameters clearly and accurately to the SKF engineering value chain.

• Facilitate and drive engineering activities as per SKF Engineer to Order (ETO) process to industrial the bearing production.

• Create application engineering proposals and customized solutions according to customer requirements and present to customer in a clear and effective manner.

• Work in coordination with SKF product design and product engineering teams to facilitate DFMEA and discuss the same with customer on a specific project or product line.

• Prepare and execute design verification and process validation test plans using global testing resources.

• Promote and emphasize first-time quality by offering critical assessment of product or processes and employ continuous improvement activities such as lessons learned, warranty analysis, etc.

• Participate in the execution of Root Cause Analysis of the customers' application issues and contribute to the issue resolution.

• To follow management instructions and procedures; to report Environment Health and Safety (EHS) risks and EHS related incidents; to follow quality specifications and requirements, and identify quality risks and opportunities for improvement

Professional Experience and Knowledge Areas required for SKF

• University Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering with minimum 3-5 relevant work experience in tractor and/or automotive domain.

• Experience in Product Design and Development of tractor or automotive systems, FEA Analysis, Product testing, Manufacturing and Heat treatment processes.

• Good facilitation, influencing & communication skills in an internationally diverse team in matrix organization setup.

• Good understanding of tractor business.
