Grundfos jobs for Motor Specialist - Electrical-BE electrical

Grundfos India is looking for technically adept and progressive electrical specialist with established electromagnetic domain expertise. This role will be based out of Chennai as a part of Solar India Tech Team. The position will report to Tech Lead and would be involved in Design and Development of Permanent Magnet Motors.
Key Responsibilities
- In depth knowledge of Electromagnetic Design and Simulations
- Permanent magnet motor Design & Development
- Knowledge of Magnets, Electrical Steel, Copper grades etc.
- Conversant in handling electromagnetic tools like, Ansys Maxwell, Ansys Motor CAD, Flux etc
- Should be conversant with Indian and International Standards
- Ability to review insulation system and cable dimensioning, frequency converters, interactions between motor and controller.
- Specifying electrical test and evaluation of the results – both on motor alone level and on system level (motor + frequency converter).
- Support manufacturing with design related issues and practise Design for Reliability, Design for manufacturing etc.
- Promote Innovation in motor technology
- Knowledge of behaviour of motor performance in Solar application
- VFD knowledge and speed control of permanent magnet motors
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master’s Electrical Engineering Degree
- At least 6-12 years of relevant work experience in motor design
- Exposure to Pump, Fan, Compressor or allied industry would be added advantage
- Proficient in English – verbal and written
