The Transformer sub-module is a part of Vestas Power Solutions. The department is an essential contributor in making the current and future wind turbines more efficient and cost effective by developing the electrical power transformers. This is done by being E2E responsible for development and maintenance of the components according to the full value chain requirements. The daily work will be within a broad network of stakeholders and together with the electrical specialists you will set the standard for tomorrows design. You will be a part of a team consisting of highly skilled engineers located in Denmark, Portugal, and India.
Responsibilities
- Conceptual design & creation of requirement specifications for HV Transformers & associated accessories
- Conduct peer and technical reviews according to the design project model include supplier management & review of supplier's design
- Set targets for how to qualify components and create test verification procedures
- Approve supplier's tests and write test- and design verification reports
- Approve test and validation of prototypes
- Provide technical support to strategic purchaser in evaluating supplier performance
- Implementation of equipment into the turbine platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's / Master's in Marine / Electrical/ similar Engineering
- Practical experience with high voltage equipment
- Design experience with high voltage power systems
- Experienced in writing design specifications and verification reports
- Practical experience with project scoping, coordination and execution
