We are looking for a collaborative and passionate Continuous Improvement (CI) specialist to manage sustainable and transformational changes for Global Feeder Factory, High Voltage Products located in Vadodara, India. You will have the opportunity to combine technical and operational knowledge and apply methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma to strengthen the Continuous Improvement Culture in our global business environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Serve as a change agent within the business where you continually challenge conventional thinking and work to improve our quality culture
  • Working with the leadership team and functional managers on developing strategy deployment action plans and helping coordinate Kaizen funnel to support the deployment.
  • Championing a culture of continuous improvement and waste elimination across the organization using a range of lean methods, processes, and tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, Level Loading, etc.
  • Driving optimization of KPIs around Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Costs.
  • Creating and managing projects across the business to achieve targets (e.g lead time, inventory, NWC, cost out, OPQ). Ensuring effective sustainment of results and supporting problem-solving as needed to close gaps to targets.
  • Building continuous improvement capability through training and implementation of various processes, tools, and methods.
  • Acting as the expert on Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies. Combining technical knowledge with people and organizational skills to deliver operational improvements within the defined timeframe.
  • Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
  • Leading the Lean Light House deployment in the factory with a calendar plan
  • Participate or lead as lean champion in special initiatives such as production footprint, investments, cost optimization.

Your background

  • University Degree, in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Operations or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma strategies and principles.
  • At least 5 years of experience in working in a similar position.
  • Experience in leading major improvement projects.
  • Six Sigma Black/Green Belt certification.
  • Analytical aptitude and thinking, strong data collection, and analytical skills for a complex project.
  • Excellent ability to guide, coach, and mentor others.
  • Self-motivated and self-organized. Open-mindedness and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of Lean Six Sigma, 8D, A3, 5W or similar tools and methodologies
  • Enjoy working with detail-oriented tasks and can work independently as well as in a team
